A study of 41 patients with biopsy-proven neuroendocrine tumors compared [F]AlF-NOTA-JR11 PET/MR with [Ga]Ga-DOTA-TATE PET/CT. The trial reported that AlF-NOTA-JR11 PET/MR detected significantly more lesions overall, including more liver metastases, and showed lower background uptake with higher tumor-to-background ratios in primary tumors, lymph node metastases, and liver metastases, though lesion SUVmax was lower than with DOTA-TATE. No significant differences were found between the two techniques for detection of lymph node or bone metastases.
